Glenn E. Taylor

Glenn E. Taylor implemented and leads the GIS Center of Excellence at Southern Company, a team dedicated to delivering technology solutions that support the Electric business. He brings 37 years of utility experience, including positions as Portfolio Manager of the Transmission and Distribution portfolios at Southern Company, and key supervisory and management roles with the Transmission and Distribution teams at Florida Power and Light. He has also worked as a Project Manager at Mobile Data Solutions (MDSI) and IBM, implementing solutions for a range of utility needs, including mobile dispatch and work and asset management. His experience positions him to effectively lead in the development and implementation of GIS solutions while ensuring alignment with business goals. Glenn received his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Drexel University.
